E. Sibly, M.D. F. R. H. S.
Member of the Royal College of Physicians in Aberdeen.
Dodd delin’t.
J. Pass scupl.
Sibly, shown wearing a wig and a white silk cravat and with a smile as he faces to our left, , but with eyes on the viewer, is portrayed within an oval border, beneath which we see winged mercury with the rod of Asclepius, a vignette of someone helping a person with an injured arm, and finally a anake climbing up the Rod of Aaron leaning against some books.
Ebenezer Sibly was the author of the book of astrology from which the pictures here were taken.
