Notes:

In this woodcut a man in 13th century costume holds up a woman’s garment, a tunic perhaps although I am not certain. This is a Victorian engraving based on a thirteenth Century drawing.

In the original drawing the garment held in the hand is of a grey colour, while that worn by the man who displays it is red; and he wears a white coif. (p. 433)
