Notes:

This is an unusual view of Sir Christopher Wren’s masterpiece, which replaced an earlier cathedral founded in A.D. 64 after it burned down in the Great Fire of London.

We see a man leaning out of a stone circular window, a clay tobacco-pipe in his mouth, lookint at the sailing boats, but our own eyes are drawn to the cathedral on the other side of the river.
