A fictional reconstruction of “druids” at an intact Stonehenge.

Stonehenge actually predates the Romans and the peoples called the druids by British historians of the Eighteenth and Nineteenth centuries: it was built some five thousand years ago. The time between Stonehenge and Jesus is greater than the time between Jesus and now. None the less, there was no radio-carbon dating available in the Nineteenth century, and our authors did the best they could, using the Roman sources that were as reliable as Vladimir Putin’s descriptions of Ukraine, and written in similar circumstances.

The original image had rounded upper corners; I straighetened themn, but the original archival scan is also available for purchase as usual.
