Enthuˊsiast [entousiaste, F. entusiasto, It. enthusiastico, Sp. of enthusiasta L. ἐνqεγιθὴθ, Gr.] one
who pretends to be inspired by the divine Spirit, and to have a true sight and
knowledge of things; one who is transported with imaginary
revelations.
