The zodiac wheel together with the four quarters. It is supported by two angels and the text:
“Quomodo sedet sola civitas plena populo!
Facta est quasi vidua domina gentium!” (p. 116)
That is from the beginning of the book of Lamentations of Jeremiah the Prophet: How doth the city sit solitary, that was full of people! How is she become as a widow, she that was great among the nations!
I have also made an image containing just the central square with the zodiac wheel, greatly cleaned up.
Note: Evelyn Paul died in 1945, less than 70 years ago, so these images are not out of copyright, as I understand it.
