Notes:

A man and a woman stand together in a bedroom; one kisses the cheek of the other. They are dressed in medieval costume. Although Troilus and Criseyde is set in ancient Greece, Chaucer was writing in the 14th century, and William Morris and Edward Burne-Jones have illustrated it in the style of that time.
