A bearded man of middle years, barefoot and wearing only a loin-cloth, carries on his head a basket overflowing with apples and other fruit. Under his right arm he carries vines with bunches of grapes. A short poem follows:
Autumn.
Laden with richests products of the earth;
Its choicest fruits, enchanting to the eye
Grateful to taste, and courting appetite.
